Everything else, January 2026

This one has a lot of post ideas that never come to fruition or it doesn't have time to write, things it wants to share from around the internet, and other stuff that doesn't deserve a whole post but it wants to share anyway (or you might be wondering where the post is), so here's a brief roundup of all that stuff!

Things that didn't get a whole post

  • The Linnstrument: it got one, it likes it, it caused a bunch of changes to its setup for making music in its wake. It hasn't written a post about it because posts about gear are boring. Do not expect it to write posts about music gear in general. If it writes anything about the linnstrument it will be tutorial in nature rather than "gear content", because gear content sucks and is boring.

  • why it has grown to dislike automation and factory games. It got a bit into drafting that post but realized nothing there was worth sharing

  • why it left fedi. Again, nothing actually worth sharing (fedi just has the same problems as all other social media), but it knows some folks will be wondering where that post is.

Cool stuff from around the internet

  • DAMAG3 makes intense queer hip-hop music for the revolution. It's awesome shit, go listen.

  • Threefold and Hamcorp have been its comfort viewing throughout its current house move and associated stress. Tightly edited modded minecraft let's play from entertaining guys who aren't treating their audience like children.

Everything else

  • it is thinking about making a new EP - it will happen, eventually. Currently it's very much in the phase of recording a bunch of ideas that it will later go through and decide which are worth making into whole tracks. The working title is "AUTHENTIC TRASH", being an EP of its own authentically bad taste and production (rather than any AI slop). Expect yet another grab-bag of random ideas because it is still going through a musical identity crisis.
