sike: a radial app menu for linux
Fri Aug 7, 2020

This is sike. It's a radial app menu for linux, and it's designed to run on the pinetab (although I haven't tested that yet)

It uses a crossing-based, radial/"pie menu" design that is intended to be more intuitive than other app menus to use on a touchscreen. Although the demo shows it being launched from a terminal it is intended to be opened with a touch gesture. I can't test this as I don't have a tablet. The menu items are configured in a TOML file, and there is support for any command to be a menu item and for arbitrary submenus. It's currently very early in development, basically a prototype, but you can get it here and try it out if you want.
